This rubbing is of Sir George Felbrigg, d. 1400. He is buried at Playford, Suffolk, Great Britain. Sir George was one of the household esquires and knights of Edward III and Richard II. The history of the Felbrigg family is still very obscure. It is likely that they descended from a younger son of one of the Earls of Norfolk. In 1389 Sir George was appointed a Justice of the Peace for Suffolk and in 1392 on of the Commissions of Array to review the local militia.
