This rubbing comes from a "modern" brass designed for the Westminster Abbey Brass Rubbing Center.
Henry VIII reigned from 1509 to 1547. In his attempt to have a male heir, he had his marriage to Katherine of Aragon annulled, a move which lead to the break with the Church of Rome and later to the Dissolution of the Monasteries. He married Anne Boleyn and then Jane Seymour, who provided him with a son. His later marriages were to Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Katherine Parr.
King Henry VIII measures approximately 10 by 17 inches. He has been made with heelball on black paper produced specifically for brass rubbing and will arrive ready for mounting and framing
