This brass was made to honor Jehan and Johanne Clenarts of Delft. It is from Hoogstraten, Belgium and was commissioned in 1524 upon the death of Jehan. This brass is unique because it is a curricular brass with a wonderful arrangement of kneeling figures and heraldry. Mayor Jean Clenarts kneels in armor with his wife Johanna facing him from across a prayer table. Their four children are behind them. Jehan's heraldry is very rustic, showing a cartwheel above a duck and a duck on his crest. A very attractive angel holds the ribboned lozenge bearing his and his wife's arms impaled.

The diameter of this rubbing is 22 inches. The paper is approximately 28 by 28 to give increased framing options and will arrive ready for mounting and framing.
