This rubbing is of Dame Margaret Chute d. 1614. She is buried at Marden, in Herefordshire, Great Britain. There is very little known about her. She is depicted wearing an elaborate court dress with a most extraordinary arrangement of her hair, drawn up into points like a halo. Dame Margaret is still affectionately known as the "Electric Lady" in our family - as she looks like she put her finger in a light socket!
