This rubbing comes from a "modern" brass designed for the Westminster Abbey Brass Rubbing Center.

Anne Boleyn was the daughter of Sir Thomas Bullen, the second wife of Henry VIII and the mother of Elizabeth I. She married Henry in 1533 after his divorce from Katherine of Aragon and gave birth to Elizabeth in the same year. Her failure to produce a male heir, she miscarried a son in 1536, led to charges of treason being brought against her. She was tried and found guilty. She was beheaded along with her brother and two other men (who were accused of adultery with the Queen).

Queen Anne Boleyn measures approximately 10 by 17 inches. She has been made with heelball on black paper produced specifically for brass rubbing. She will arrive ready for mounting and framing
